Official Trailer For Queen Biopic Unveiled — BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY

We've been given our first official taste of the forthcoming Queen biopic "Bohemian Rhapsody". Sacha Baron Cohen signed on to play Mercury in 2011, but stepped down from the role two years later, citing creative differences with the members of Queen.

The flamboyant, barrier-breaking singer is a tough act to follow, but the trailer certainly packs a punch. Get backstage sneak peeks and a true view into our world as the fun and games unfold.

The movie will cover the time period from the band's formation in the 1970s through their performance at Live Aid in 1985.

The film charts the band's rise to stardom and the recording of some of their most memorable songs. Though the actual singing in the trailer belongs to Mercury himself, Malek has Mercury's quips, charisma, and stage presence down pat. The very first picture of Rami Malek as Freddie Mercury was released on what would have been the iconic front man's 71st birthday previous year on September 5th.

Bohemian Rhapsody is directed by Bryan Singer and Dexter Fletcher.

Bohemian Rhapsody might be a biographical drama on singer Freddie Mercury, but it's more like a celebration of British rock band Queen's foot-tapping numbers that were such a rage in the '80s. In the process, cementing the legacy of a band that were always more like a family, and who continue to inspire outsiders, dreamers and music lovers to this day. Also appearing are Mike Myers and Aiden Gillen.

Bohemian Rhapsody is released on November 2, 2018.

The trailer gives little away about the film, but features small gigs in intimate venues as well as massive stadium performances such as Live Aid.

Malek revealed that May reached out directly via email to let him know that the movie brought the musician to tears, assuring that Mercury would be "proud" of the project.
