Marcus Smart calls out JR Smith after Game 2

Those frustrations boiled over during one sequence that saw J.R. Smith shove Al Horford, much to the chagrin of Marcus Smart.

The Boston Celtics turned on the jets down the stretch in Game 2 against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Instead, they unraveled. As Marcus Smart and Al Horford ran a pick-and-roll, Horford rolled to the rim looking for the lob from Smart. We'll have to wait and see if the National Basketball Association allows Smith to play - or if he'll have a little more free time to tee it up this weekend. This is not the first time JR's done some dirty stuff, especially playing against us. Smith was also assessed a flagrant foul for his push on Horford. Smith didn't score a point in 27 minutes, shooting 0-for-7 from the field. In fairness to Smart, the replay showed he had every right to be upset. "It's like a bully, you keep letting a bully keep picking on you, he's going to pick on you until you finally stand up. He's known for it, especially playing against us", Smart said, per the Boston Globe.

On the subsequent possession awarded with the flagrant, the fired-up Horford posted up Kevin Love, spun around him and dropped in a reverse layup while drawing a foul (he missed the free throw).

"I felt like it was uncalled for, that type of play there", Horford said. "One of my guys was down and I took offence to it". "I blatantly pushed him".

"We were bad defensively", said Thompson, who was moved into the starting lineup as coach Tyronn Lue's most obvious game-to-game adjustment but contributed only two rebounds and four points after halftime. It was a good, hard foul.

Said Thompson: "If we don't get stops on the defensive end, they're going to make open threes".
