Suspect Arrested, Another Sought in Alleged Exorcism

The suspects are charged with robbery and malicious wounding, but they were arrested in Colonial Heights on unrelated charges. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money.

Around 3 p.m. Monday, the Wells Fargo branch in the 5700 block of Debarr Road in east Anchorage was robbed, APD says.

Police said the suspects were shedding their outer clothing and weapons while running and attempted to enter a vehicle on Dale Avenue when officers apprehended.

April. 12, 2018: Police say a man with a knife walked into a business on Victoria Avenue, just east of Park Street. Words were exchanged between the suspects and homeowner before one of the suspects struck the victim with the muzzle of a handgun.

Police say the men left the scene in a southbound direction. Later that morning police arrested a 37-year-old man.

DeSpain also released a photo of Baker and a surveillance photo that police said shows him walking near the time of the crime.

Warrants for robbery and malicious wounding were obtained for both suspects, who were later arrested in Colonial Heights on unrelated charges.
