Russian Federation will retaliate to the United Kingdom for Syria on compromising Ministers

"The points which this reinforces for us as a government, and should reinforce for all Australians, is that vigilance is absolutely imperative in terms of cyber security", Senator Payne told reporters in Adelaide on Tuesday.

The Syrian foreign ministry accused the United States, which has supported some rebel groups in Syria's conflict, of using "fabrications and lies" as an excuse to hit its territory.

Nikki Haley, the US ambassador to the United Nations, on Friday accused Russian Federation of lies and covering up for Assad, which she said had used chemical weapons at least 50 times in the past seven years of warfare.

Following the suspected weekend chemical attack, the allies have vowed to intervene, even though no United Nations mandate for such action exists.

London put "powerful pressure" on the civil defence organisation, Konashenkov said.

The World Health Organization said that 43 people had died in Saturday's attack on Douma from "symptoms consistent with exposure to highly toxic chemicals", and more than 500 in all had been treated.

Two days ago U.S. President Donald Trump warned that missiles "will be coming" in response to the gas attack on Douma, a town near Damascus which had been held by rebels until this month.

Trump cancelled a planned trip to Latin America on 13 April to focus instead on talks with Western allies about possible military action to punish Assad.

US Defence Secretary Jim Mattis said the strikes were a "one-time shot" and that no additional airstrikes were now planned.

The inspectors aim to collect samples, interview witnesses and document evidence to determine whether banned toxic munitions were used, although they are not permitted to assign blame for the attack.

The warning is unrelated to the administration's recent military strikes on suspected chemical weapons facilities in Syria, action Russian Federation condemned.

But US Defence Secretary Jim Mattis struck a cautious note, telling lawmakers that the need to "stop the murder of innocent people" had to be weighed up against the risk of things "escalating out of control".

USA and British officials warned that infected routers could be used to launch future offensive cyber operations.

Trump said he was prepared to sustain the response until Assad's government stopped its use of chemical weapons.

Putin said that Russian military experts who inspected Douma found no trace of the attack. Johnson said: "The world is united in its disgust for any use of chemical weapons, but especially against civilians".

"The president has a dilemma", said this official.

However NCSC chief executive Ciaran Martin said it was a "significant moment" in the fightback against Russian aggression in cyberspace while the White House vowed to use "all elements of national power" to combat the threat.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres opened the Security Council meeting without referring to either Russian Federation or the United States, but stressed his deep concern that the growing tensions could spiral into broad conflict.

Russian Federation blames insurgents for the chemical attacks, accusing western allies of using these atrocities as an excuse for #Military Intervention.

Mr Lavrov noted that Russian and USA militaries have a hotline to prevent incidents, adding that it was not clear if it would be sufficient amid mounting tensions.
