Daryl Worley Tased, Arrested by Police; Gun Recovered at the Scene

The Eagles acquired Worley last month in the trade that sent wide receiver Torrey Smith to the Carolina Panthers. Former Panthers general manager Dave Gettleman said the team had thoroughly explored the incident before drafting Worley in 2016.

The report also shows that Worley was tased by the police after allegedly becoming aggressive towards the officers on scene.

Worley is far from a lock to stick on the roster if the Eagles determine his actions Sunday morning were serious, as they are loaded with outside cornerbacks.

According to Rapoport, Worley was found passed out inside his vehicle, which was blocking a highway.

Worley started 14 games for the Panthers last season and finished his second National Football League campaign with 63 tackles and a career-high two interceptions.

While in college at West Virginia, Worley pleaded no contest to misdemeanor assault after a 2014 incident at a nightclub.

The Eagles are scheduled to begin the voluntary portion of their offseason workout program Monday.
