Apple grabs 'Bob's Burgers' creator's new animated musical series

The new network gave a commitment for two seasons, with a total of 26 episodes.

A host of stage favorites will lend their voices to Central Park, Apple's first animated show to be announced as part of its upcoming rollout of original series.

The tech company has given a two-season order for the show, which is named Central Park. The project hails from Bob's Burgers' Loren Bouchard, Nora Smith, and Frozen's Josh Gad.

The musical series-Apple's first animation greenlight-tells the story of how a family of Central Park caretakers ends up saving the world. So we don't really know what you'll have to do or pay to watch Central Park.

Bouchard and Gad executive produce alongside Brillstein Entertainment Partners, with Smith serving as consulting producer.

Leslie Odom Jr., Titus Burgess and Kristen Bell are just a few of the names in the credits.

Variety notes that this is a unique move for 20th Century Fox to sell one of its animated series as it has held on to most of its popular content like The Simpsons, Family Guy, American Dad!
