Zimbabwe's President Mnangagwa To Visit Angola Friday

President Emmerson Mnangagwa's spokesperson, George Charamba has reportedly accused former education minister Jonathan Moyo of deserting his family at former president Robert Mugabe's Blue Roof residency during the military take over a year ago.

He's also an outspoken critic of the current president, Mnangagwa.

Mnangagwa is being sworn in as Zimbabwe's president after Robert Mugabe resigned on Tuesday, ending his 37-year rule.

Former Higher Education Minister Jonathan Moyo who is in hiding has claimed that Zimbabwe will become another Somalia if the President Emmerson Mnangagwa's administration continues in power.

In the BBC interview, Moyo called Mnangagwa's government illegitimate, saying it had come to power via the bullet, not the ballot.

New Zimbabwean President Emerson Mnangagwa is expected to make a one-day official visit to Namibia on January 15 during which he will hold bilateral talks with President Hage Geingob, the presidency announced on Thursday.Presidential press secretary Albertus Aochamub said the Zimbabwean leader is expected to use the occasion to formally introduce himself.

From there the new Zimbabwean leader is scheduled to travel to Namibia on Monday and after that head east to Mozambique on Wednesday.

President Emmerson Mnagagwa of Zimbabwe arrives in Luanda Friday for a 24-hour visit to Angola for discussions with his Angolan counterpart, President João Lourenço, on the political situation in his country.

"It was an excellent meeting".

He further took swipe at the Zimbabwe Defence Forces demanding that they come clean on the their Operation Restore Legacy and tell the country how many people were killed in the process.

"As you are aware, I first went to South Africa to brief the chairman of Sadc, President Jacob Zuma".
