Woman returns 'dead' Christmas tree to Costco for full refund

According to the witness, the woman received her refund, but not without a great deal of questioning from Costco employees. And even though she was shamed by other customers in line, would you believe she actually did get her money back.

An aghast Costco customer recounted the tale of another customer who he said returned her "dead" Christmas tree to the store for a full refund.

The unidentified woman entered the Santa Clarita Costco on January 4 and declared her tree was dead, so she thought she was entitled to a refund.

Costco is known for a generous return policy under which people can return any item barring electronics at any time.

"I can't make this stuff up".

People present at the store were shocked as one of them wrote on social media about the lack of moral values of the woman.

The warehouse club allows members to return nearly anything they've purchased at any time for a full refund (there is a 90-day limit on electronics).

One person wrote: "People like this are miserable".

While the rest of us were debating where to abandon our trees, one woman chose to take hers back for a refund.
