WhatsApp beta for Windows Phone updated to v2.18.2. Brings hidden features

We received a lot of reports about this feature now working on Android 6.0+, on WhatsApp beta for Android 2.18.1 and newer.

This feature won't work in future when you will be in a group voice call, because it is compatible with normal voice calls only. Once added, the feature will save users' time by allowing them to seamlessly switching between video and voice calls. The feature is now available for WhatsApp beta for Android and we can definitely expect the feature to debut soon for all Android users around the world. It is not a great way to instantly switch to video when you choose to. So it consume a lot of time of the users.

This new, group voice call feature has been one of the most awaited feature on this popular messaging service.

However, it should be noted that the button is only visible when a user is on a call via WhatsApp, or at least that is the case in beta.

Currently, if a user wants to switch calls then they need to disconnect and call again. When clicked, the user on the other end of the call will receive a voice call request. For instance, imagine you are on a voice call with your friend and decide to switch to video call.

WhatsApp has recently added the live location sharing feature on their platform, which will enable users to share their real-time location updates with their chosen contacts or groups.

In case you are wondering, the process will be the same if you want to switch from voice to video call. The feature was first spotted by WABetaInfo and it seems, the messaging application is now only testing this feature, collecting feedback from the beta users to make it work better.

As WABetaInfo reports, the feature will evidently support only those with compatible versions of the app.

The update is now available only for Android users.
