United Kingdom parliament staff 'make 160 online porn requests daily'

More than 24,000 attempts were made to visit pornographic websites from computers in parliament in the months after the general election.

Between June and October 2017, following the general election previous year, 24,473 attempts were made to reach said sites, adding upto 9,647 requests from both the House of commons and Lords in September alone.

As the British establishment is conducting a campaign aimed at eradicating sexual misconduct at the workplace, fresh data reveals that people working in the UK Parliament attempted to access pornography every nine minutes on average over the last several months. But parliamentary authorities said that the majority of attempts are not deliberate and security software installed on Parliamentary computers have blocked most of the sites.

A total of 24,473 attempts to visit banned sites were made during the period between June and October 2017 from devices connected to the parliamentary network - used by MPs, Lords in the upper house and their staff - a Freedom of Information (FOI) request found.

In December Deiman Greene, Deputy Prime Minister, was forced to resign after lying about the pornographic material found on his computer that he had not seen or loaded it himself.

"There are 8,500 computers on the parliamentary network, which are used by MPs, peers, their staff and staff of both Houses".

It's also worth noting that the number of people attempting to access pornography on Parliament's network has decreased over recent years; for example in 2015 some 213,000 attempts were made to access pornographic websites.

There's also a chance that Parliamentary porn fans may simply be accessing porn websites using their cellular connections instead, particularly as some mobile data packages can be pretty generous and offer decent 4G speeds.

"There are 8500 computers on the parliamentary network, which are used by MPs, peers, their staff and staff of both Houses."This data also covers personal devices used when logged on to Parliament's guest Wi-Fi".

During this time, parliament was dissolved between the end of April and early June 2017 while the election campaign took place.
