Total War: Three Kingdoms Announced With Epic Cinematic Trailer

It is a brutal and oppressive regime, and as Dong Zhuo's power grows, the empire slips further into the cauldron of anarchy. However, the developer isn't hitting the breaks just yet, with it announcing the next major installment to its strategy series, Total War: Three Kingdoms.

Three heroes, sworn to brotherhood in the face of tyranny, rally support for the trials ahead. Sensing opportunity, warlords from China's great families follow suit, forming a fragile coalition in a bid to challenge Dong Zhuo's remorseless rule. Dynasty Warrior fans will no doubt be familiar with the Three Kingdoms period the game recreates, but this is Total War's first trip to the era. "The future of China will be shaped by their hands, but personal ambition threatens their already crumbling alliance".

We're told to expect Total War: Three Kingdoms on PC by "Fall 2018". You can check out a trailer and official description for Total War: Three Kingdoms, below. Creative Assembly has, with their exceptionally talented team of over 500, amassed a wealth of awards, including recent accolades from BAFTA, Music+Sound and Develop's Industry Excellence awards.

Players will likely be taking control of one of these three kingdoms as they battle for supremacy, and from what we can see in the pre-rendered trailer we may be coming across hero units similar to Total War Warhammer's own heroes and lords, who are able to take on whole units by themselves or fight other heroes.

Some Chinese fans are just happy that Creative Assembly is paying mind to Chinese culture, especially given that it's the largest and most lucrative video game market in the world right now.
