MUMBAI: mysterious attacker stabbed Shiv Sena leader Ashok Sawant to put on death outside his house in Kandivli in Mumbai on late Sunday. He claimed that the three men seemed risky, so he cited some mechanical issues to get them to take another vehicle. Prima facie it appears that the three accused are contract killers.

The 62-year-old Shiv Sena leader when was taken to a nearby hospital by his locals then he was declared dead by the doctors. "He followed Sawant from near his residence around 7pm till the time of his murder as the men waited for a flawless opportunity to strike", said an officer. Now His body has been delivered to Shatabdi hospital for a post-mortem.

Ashok Sawant is survived by wife, two daughters and a son.

DCP (Zone 12) Dr Vinay Kumar Rathod confirmed to mid-day that investigations are underway.
