Rob Lowe Shreds Bella Thorne for Clueless Tweet About Disaster-Ravaged California

West coast area is home to many Latin stars such as Bella Thorne, who is being criticized for her lack of empathy with her latest tweet.

Rob Lowe felt some disappointment toward fellow actress Bella Thorne, who expressed frustration over missing her boyfriends concert due to the unsafe Montecito mudslides on Thursday (Jan.11).

"F- u 101 (freeway) to santa barbra (sic)", Bella wrote. "I'm missing my boyfriend's first date on his tour".

The traffic was caused by severe mudslides affecting southern California.

Apparently, the 20-year-old, who got her big break on Disney Channel's "Shake It Up", hadn't been checking the news on Wednesday because on Thursday she again tweeted that expletive, followed by what she thought would pass for an apology or a reasonable justification for being ignorant or insensitive. What, we hope, Bella didn't realize is that the roadway was closed due to deadly mudslides.

According to a report from CNN, around 17 people have lost their lives in the California mudslides, and approximately 43 people are missing.

The actress later deleted the tweet, but not before Lowe - a resident of Santa Barbara County who helped firefighters battle risky blazes near his house last month - had for it.

'I was sexually abused and physically growing up from the day I can remember till I was 14, ' she wrote, saying that at that age: 'I finally had the courage to lock my door at night and sit by it'.

The Famous In Love star shared her experience in support of the Time's Up campaign, following the outpouring of support for abused women at Sunday night's Golden Globes.

Sure, it's an inconvenience, but Bella failed to read the room - and her followers were swift to remind her to show a little compassion. "Stay strong, peace, I love you guys".

Thorne's representatives didn't immediately respond to INSIDER's request for comment.

She said: "F**k just caught up on some news had no idea why the 101 was shut down... get home to your family safe".
