LG's 65-Inch OLED TV Can Be Rolled Up, Hidden Away

LG OLED technology has created a new high-end category of displays that delivers an awe-inspiring picture with ideal blacks and incredible color, even from wide viewing angles, unlike any LCD and LED display. What actually we have meant here is that this is the television of our futurity, likewise, CES played host to HD screens and 4K displays before they went on to the market actually. LG showed off its 65-inch OLED display, the "world's first", at CES in Las Vegas. While this is as innovative as it gets, LG has not yet revealed the specifics of the TV.

This gives it the freedom to roll up and be stored away.

LG was light on the details; it's unclear how heavy the TV is or what kind of specs it sports.

The paper-thin product was announced by the Korean giant ahead of the CES technology show in 2016, with claims the technology could one day be used on smartphones or in-car screens that curve around a vehicle's interior. It will be on show at the 2018 Consumer Electronics Show from today. But we'll likely hear more when CES kicks off this week. For instance, you should be able to summon Assistant on your TV and ask it to switch on LG's air purifier or adjust the temperature of the AC.

And, users will have access to 'more intelligent content information, ' to search soundtracks or casts, and even let the TV turn itself off when a program ends, without setting a specific time.

LG is turning to AI (artificial intelligence) to make its entire portfolio of connected devices smarter.

LG also announced a smart washing machine which can determine wash settings based on changes in weather, air quality and weight of the clothes.

Finally, Tim Alessi, Vice President Marketing, talked about LG's new OLED and Super UHD TVs for 2018.

It will have 731 percent more colour points than its predecessor, along with high frame support and Dolby Atmos Sound.
