Leaked photos show off the rumoured Nokia 1 Android Go phone

So talking more about Nokia 6 offers during this Nokia Mobile Week sale, the mid-range handset from HMD can be bought with an additional Rs. 1,000 discount on the exchange of older smartphones and the e-commerce platform is offering up to Rs. 12,779 off. A new leak popped online today revealed real-life images of the alleged Nokia 1, which gives concrete information that HMD is indeed working on the device.

As stated, HMD Global is still in the final stages as the device is leaked with two different designs. Nokia 6 features a 16MP rear camera with phase detection auto-focus (PDAF), f/2 aperture and dual tone LED Flash. Being an entry-level smartphone, the Nokia 1 will feature plastic body. The Nokia 1 could boast an HD resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels and it will come equipped with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage.

Further specifications of the phone are still unavailable, though speculation suggests the phone will be powered by a Snapdragon 212 processors at its heart.

The entire spec-list is similar to the Nokia 2, but the major difference will be the operating system. The company says that the phones running Android Oreo (Go edition) will hit the shelves in early 2018. On the inside, the device will pack a better hardware with toned down apps from Android Go. One being the high-end phone, aka Nokia 9 and another one may be HMD Global's first ever Android Go edition phone or Nokia 1. The new Go edition is specially meant for the low cost devices which come with 512MB or 1GB of RAM. Another highlight of the smartphones is that they run on stock Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS, and are due to get Android 8.0 Oreo update soon, and Android P update after Google announces it, later this year. The aim is to provide the latest Android updates to the masses and it will be available as a part of Android 8.1 release.

The new Android Go is also designed for special Google apps which includes Google Go, Google Assistant Go, YouTube Go, Google Maps Go, Gmail Go, Gboard, Google Play, Chrome, and the new Files Go app, which will help to manage files and make it to run smooth on the entry-level handsets.
