Airtel ties up with Amazon to offer free Prime subscription

India's largest telecom operator Airtel today teamed up with Amazon India to offer one year of Amazon Prime membership with its Infinity postpaid plan.

Giving details of the new offer, it said that customers can avail this through their Airtel TV app and download the Prime Video app to access the shows.

If you are eligible but already have the Amazon Prime membership, you need to wait. By Amazon Prime Membership one can get way to access a number of TV serials, movies and much more according to the package without any additional cost. Now download the Prime video app and start streaming videos. Similarly, Amazon customers on free trial of the service can avail the offer, but then their subscription will be bound by Airtel's rules.

"We are thrilled to come together with Airtel to make Amazon Prime benefits directly available to more customers".

Users who are eligible will also be required to download the free Airtel TV app from either the Google Play Store or Apple's App Store. The offer is available to new and existing postpaid customers with an "Infinity Plan" of Rs 499 or above.

Amazon Prime, which entered countries including Mexico, Netherlands, Luxembourg and Singapore previous year, now is present in 16 countries around the world. If you're an Airtel customer, you might be eligible for a free dose of entertainment from one of the leading online streaming services in India.
