Facebook Messenger Games List

Facebook Messenger Games List

It's been one year since Facebook introduced games for Messenger, and the company celebrated this occasion by introducing new features and game titles.

Facebook rolled out its Instant Games platform previous year to developers so they could create gaming activities for Messenger and the platform's News Feed.

The platform is now adding more games to the list.

Instant Games was originally launched to encourage Facebook Messenger users, which now sits at 1.3 billion monthly users, to spend more time on the messaging platform.

After launching the Instant Games feature within Facebook Messenger last November, the social giant is integrating livestreaming into that product - bringing Facebook roughly into competition with other "Let's Play" platforms like YouTube and Twitch.

To make use of Facebook Live within Instant Games, tap the camera icon (upper-right hand corner) during a game select an audience to broadcast to add a description tap the "Start Live Video" button. The stream will be available live, with the final video posted to the user's Page or profile so friends can also watch it at a later stage.

The company is bringing its Facebook Live capabilities into Instant Games, allowing users to live stream their games with their friends and family. Fans and friends will be able to catch up on anything they missed at any time. Just like any post the video can be deleted at any time.

This is a great tool for broadcasters or just friends to use to enhance their connections and conversations with friends.

The platform is launching new games worldwide in 2018, including some popular titles, like Angry Birds. This new version of the popular app will feature the classic gameplay elements from before with an all new challenge mode where you can challenge friends to beat your score. Angry Birds will be coming to the app in early 2018 with the ability to play with friends.

"We're so glad that people are embracing the unbelievable experiences game developers are building for Instant Games", Facebook said in its announcement. Challenge friends to see who can jump the furthest. Also coming down the line for Messengers Gaming service is Sonic Jump from Sega, Disney Tsum Tsum (I have no idea what this is, but apparently it's a thing) and Puzzle & Dragons.
