Eve Named New Co-Host On CBS' 'The Talk'

Months after Aisha Tyler announced she would be leaving the CBS daytime talk show to focus on other projects, it's been revealed that Eve will step into the role as a permanent panelist.

Hopefully, Eve will feel a similar connection to her co-hosts as she takes Tyler's seat on The Talk.

The rapper and actress was one of the many guest hosts during the show's current eighth season, and, according to insiders, was among the "hundreds of names" considered to round out the cast. "The great success of The Talk is due to the undeniable chemistry and bond of friendship between the hosts".

"The women were thrilled when they heard Eve would be joining the show and can't wait to start talking and engaging her in the conversation", CBS exec Angelica McDaniel, who oversees daytime programming at the network, tells Variety.

"I'm looking forward to being able to showcase my personality in a way that people have never seen before", she adds.

Eve is a Grammy-winning artist who's known for the 2002 song "Let Me Blow Ya Mind" and her collaborations with Alicia Keys, Ludacris, Jill Scott, and Dr. Dre.

"All of them told me that they believed in me, and I believe in them", she told People ahead of her last show in August. However, in an effort to find a replacement for Tyler, the series saw stars like Shemar Moore, Chris O'Donnell, Eric Christian Olsen and Wilmer Valderrama fill in the host chair temporarily.

"Honestly, I am the most excited...", she said during her introduction to the audience. This opportunity came and it's something new, something exciting.
