Nokia 9 CAD renders show the smartphone's possible design

This is a tad odd given the Nokia 8 is listed on the U.S. version of the Nokia phone website, touting the phone's capabilities at capturing two selfies at once.

According to their sources, the Nokia 9 will have a 5.5-inch quad HD AMOLED display. These aren't press renders though, rather, as is always the case with OnLeaks, they are based on factory CAD files of the phone, hence, chances are we might see a different product at the time of launch. What the leakers are sure of however is that the Nokia 9 will have curved edges, which are pretty similar to the design of Samsung's Galaxy S8 smartphones. The Nokia 9 will apparently sport a 5.5-inch display with very slim bezels and a curved glass panel on the front, however, it's still unclear whether the panel will be curved or not. However, given the accurate track record of @Onleaks, we can be nearly sure about Nokia ditching the 3.5mm headphone port, especially since most brands have done the same over the past one year.

There also appears to be a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, confirming there will be no space on the front as it will be taken up by screen. Moreover, you can also see the Nokia moniker.

At the right side of the phone is the power button and volume rocker, and, to the top is the secondary mic. There's no headphone jack, and disturbingly common trend lately.

The fingerprint reader is predictably moved to the back, positioned below the main camera setup, with a USB Type-C port and nothing else on the bottom of the shiny, curvy device.

Based on the renders, it looks like Nokia is emulating the likes of the Mi 6, HTC U11 and the Pixel 2 in ditching the 3.5mm jack. It is expected to come preinstalled with Android 8.0 Oreo.

In terms of innards, the Nokia 9 is said to be powered by Snapdragon 835 SoC that would be coupled with 4 GB RAM. Many concept images of the flagship smartphone have been leaked online, and now new renders of the Nokia 9 corroborate previous leaks.
