Mauricio Pochettino hits back at Pep Guardiola´s `Harry Kane team´ comments

The forward bagged six goals in four Premier League appearances during the period, bagging braces in the victories away to Everton, West Ham and Huddersfield.

"We have [Manchester] United and the Harry Kane team, who scores every game two or three goals".

England boss Gareth Southgate was quick to call upon the Spurs man after injury had ruled Manchester City man Fabian Delph out of proceedings for the worldwide double header last week.

Tottenham have some of the best players in the Premier League such as Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen, Hugo Lloris and Harry Kane.

He added: "I know Pep very well and when he is excited after an unbelievable victory against Chelsea sometimes he struggles to keep his position and be a gentleman".

"Of course [I will talk to Guardiola]".

"I always said it was Barcelona or Pep Guardiola".

"It was disrespectful for many", he added.

"When he was at Barca, I never said "the Messi team".

"No, no, no. I think it's a sad comment; because the players laugh about that", he said.

When asked if Guardiola's comments would fuel the team for the rest of the season, Pochettino didn't believe so.

"In my case, personally, I did not take it in a bad way". Maybe after the press conference he calls me.

"We kept Jamie Vardy quiet who's another good striker in our last game and if we can do that again we'll be happy".

Guardiola is also making up for lost time in a way this season, and after a disappointing first term in English football, September reminded the world of his managerial prowess in a major way.
