Justice League: Arthur Curry Intimidates In New Promo Art For Aquaman

"Zack [Snyder] had the idea to put the tattoos everywhere and everyone wanted him to have a little bit of blonde in the hair". If you want to tell audiences that they're getting something fresh and new is to cut out Superman. We put the contacts in, and I was like, wow. It's possible the answer is no, and that the movie always meant to shift into a brighter tone as it got closer to release - but as Wonder Woman takes center stage more in the movie's trailers, it would be unwise to consider the possibility that, in this superhero universe, it's the women setting the pace moving forward.

"Justice League" will be released in theaters on November 17. Julian Lewis Jones and Michael McElhatton are also in the movie in unspecified roles.

Perhaps the poster is a reaffirmation of this updated approach to the DC Extended Universe. At the time, nobody at Warner Bros., including director Zack Snyder, could have imagined how divisive the movie would be. When Justice League kicks off, Aquaman really won't be Aquaman, at all.
