Demi Lovato says her heart is 'always with' Wilmer Valderrama

"I see a therapist twice a week, I make sure I stay on my medications, I go to AA meetings, I do what I can physically in the gym, you know, I make it a priority".

Demi admitted she still has a very complicated relationship with food.

But while Demi is coming up on five and a half years sober from drugs and alcohol, one health battle she hasn't completely conquered and continues to struggle with to this day is her eating disorder.

"I think we live in a world today where no matter what you do, you're doing something wrong, whether it's cultural appropriation or it's being insensitive to certain groups of people".

Demi Lovato is a living example of overcoming an eating disorder. "I was scared because my mom always told me that your heart could just burst if you do it". I value my time by myself now, and I value my time with my friends.

She caused a stir in September when she declined to go into further detail about her sexual preferences, simply telling Pride Source magazine, "I love who I love".

After touching on her career, addiction issues, and romance with (and split from) Wilmer Valderrama, the "Really Don't Care" singer talks about the single life-sharing that she's on Raya, a dating app available mostly to celebs and industry insiders. When I first met Wilmer he was 29. "When we broke up, [binging and purging was] one of the first things I did", she revealed. "Food is still the biggest challenge in my life and it controls".

"I've never loved anybody like I loved Wilmer, and like, I still love Wilmer", Lovato confessed. I think that it is with Wilmer, and I think that it will be.

"Just because I'm refuse (sic) to label myself for the sake of a headline doesn't mean I'm not going to stand up for what I believe in", she posted on Twitter.

On how much working out has helped her: "Working out is a form of meditation to me because I'm not focused on anything in my head".

Pop star Demi Lovato has been using dating apps to try and make romantic connections with both men and women.
