Some iPad Pros cost £60 more as Apple quietly ups prices

Prior to Tuesday, consumers could purchase the 256GB and 512GB 10.9-inch iPad Pro for $749 and $949, respectively. If you journey to the Apple Store, you'll see that all 256GB/512GB variants of the 10.5 and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models are now $50 more expensive. It wasn't all good news on the price front, though. U.S. shopper got stung too, with both the 10.5-inch iPad Pro and 12.9-inch iPad Pro receiving a $50 price increase.

Lost amid all the excitement and discussion surrounding Apple's new iPhone X and Apple Watch Series 3 was a price hike that has many industry watchers scratching their heads.

While Apple has given no explanation for the price rises, sources speaking to 9to5Mac report that it's down to a dramatic increase in the cost of NAND flash storage.

Either way, it makes the $329/£339 iPad 9.7-inch model seem even better value. The 256GB model now costs $949 (up from $899) and the 512GB model costs $1149 (up from $1099).

Cellular models will set you back with an additional $130, but it's worth pointing out that the prices of the 64GB variants remain unaltered.

These prices are all for Wi-Fi only models. If you don't need the Pro features, this is unquestionably the model to go for.
