Jean-Claude's Shame! Van Damme's Son Arrested For Boozing, Theft Before Assault

Jean Claude Van Damme's youngest son has reportedly been arrested for holding his roommate at knife point.

The troubled 21-year-old - who was handcuffed for allegedly holding his roommate at knife point in Arizona last Friday - was arrested two times last year for theft and underage drinking. When cops got there, they found a trail of blood leading to his apartment, and after speaking to him and a roommate, discovered Nicholas injured his hand.

Van Varenberg didn't have a lawyer at his initial court appearance, and it's unclear if he has one yet with a September 20 preliminary hearing looming.

The cops investigated and left, but returned when the roommate ran downstairs to say he'd been threatened at knifepoint. He alleged that Nicholas was angry at him for opening the door to the police.

He was held at the Tempe jail and released earlier this week, a Tempe police spokesman tells PEOPLE.

During a search of his apartment police allegedly found a knife and marijuana, TMZ said.

He is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, unlawful imprisonment, assault with cause fear of injury, disorderly conduct, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Van Damme married Darcy LaPier in Bangkok, Thailand in 1994 while he was filming.
