TMZ broke the story, Eric Chase Bolling, Jr. was found dead in his bed Friday, hours after his father resigned from Fox News Channel after an investigation that allegedly revealed he sent pics of his genitals via text years ago. But he talked about it, and he was proud of his dad. He was your average college student.

Eric Chase was reportedly "destroyed" over his father's departure from Fox News Channel in the midst of the scandal in which he was accused by several former and current female colleagues of sending pictures of his genitalia. Following the allegations, Eric Sr. threatened to seek "legal remedies" for apparent "defamatory accusations" through his lawyer, Michael J. Bowe.

Fox News announced Friday that it had cut ties with the 54-year-old "The Specialist" co-host who spent 10 years at the network.

"Overwhelmed by all the support I have received". Eric Sr. took to Twitter shortly after learning of his only child's death to confirm the sad news and thank fans for their outpouring of support. "Adrienne and I thank you all and ask that you please keep us in your prayers", he tweeted, again asking for prayers. "Details still unclear. Thoughts, prayers appreciated", he tweeted.

"I will continue to fight against these false smear attacks!"

Bolling, 54, added in another tweet, "there is no sign of self harm at this point". Autopsy will be next week. In case you forgot, Eric Sr. was ousted from Fox News due to a controversial sexual harassment investigation.

"As a district, we wish to communicate to the Bollings that they are in our thoughts and prayers", he said.
