Teaser for Dulquer Salmaan's 'Solo' promises a cracker of a film

While he played the quintessential chocolate boy in OK Kanmani, the original version of the Aditya Roy Kapur, Shraddha Kapoor's romantic drama Ok Jaanu, Dulquer Salmaan is now gearing up for Bollywood. She will also be a part of Dulquer's film, co-starring Irrfan Khan. This Bollywood movie is yet to be titled but as of the now some of the cast names are Irrfan Khan and internet television star Mithila Palkar. And it looks like his fans won't have to wait too long as the actor is all set make his Bollywood debut! This will also be the directorial debut of Akarsh who has co-written the script with Hussain Dalal, the dialogue writer for Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and 2 States.

The film is said to be a light-hearted comedy and will see both Irfan and Dulquer as friends on a road trip. The film rolls by the month end in Kerala as the sources say.

Initially, Abhishek Bachchan was chosen for this role, but had to reject the offer because the dates of this film clashed with that of JP Dutta's Paltan. Bejoy Nambiar's Tamil-Malayalam bilingual Solo and the Malayalam film Parava are up for release. However, he didn't get much success in his Bollywood innings.

The 31-year-old actor has delivered critically acclaimed and commercially successful films in Malayalam and Tamil since his 2012 debut, Second Show.
