"FIFA 18" is being released for the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PC and the Nintendo Switch on Sep. 29. This is likely to prove a popular move with fans of the game, who will either get to indulge in some real moments of nostalgia, or experience a new format to the attempts at realism offered by the games series. The game will come with in the form of at least three separate editions, according to Den of Geek.

There's no doubt that EA has taken fan wish lists into consideration, given that Federation Internationale de Football Association 18 comes with innovative and life-like features, some of which may have never been done before in the history of gaming.

However, the Icon Edition includes $120 worth of packs as well as the early access benefit, Team of the Week Loan Player Packs, and a Ronaldo Nazário loan card.

Developer EA Sports used an event ahead of the Gamescom trade show in Cologne to debut the trailer, which features cover star Cristiano Ronaldo. The game runs on the Frostbite 3 engine and because of that the stadiums and the players look nearly realistic.

The game is also set for release on PS3 and Xbox 360, though those earlier consoles can not accommodate Frosbite technology and, as a result, are missing certain aspects of the game, such as The Journey: Hunter Returns.

The Nintendo Switch version of Federation Internationale de Football Association 18 will be drastically downgraded from other versions of the game.
