2 hurt in Lenawee County plane crash undetected for 4 hours

Emergency services say the plane stalled and then flipped on the runway as it landed.

Two occupants - a man and a woman - freed themselves from the wreckage.

Two people, including the pilot, have been seriously injured in a light plane crash at Caloundra Airport on Queensland's Sunshine Coast.

He says the cause of the crash wasn't immediately known and the Federal Aviation Administration is sending investigators to the crash site.

- The Lenawee County Sheriff's Office says a woman walked to flag down a vehicle hours after the small plane she was flying in crashed into a tree.

They have been taken to hospital with minor injuries.

A Queensland Police spokesman told 9news.com.au one person has since been freed while crews are still working to free the pilot.

Emergency services were called about 11.45am (local time) on Saturday after the plane was believed to have stalled, flipped and ended up in bushes upside down beyond the runway.

"At this stage we don't know exactly what's happened or if anyone has been injured", he said.
